The main objective of Hope in Action for Haiti is to help change the living conditions of rural communities in Haiti through development projects designed, planned, and implemented by community members. We are currently working in the commune of Gros-Morne, specifically in Acul, the 4th communal section of the commune. One of the most active economic activities is TIPA (Tax-Free Agricultural Projects). We have identified more than 20 TIPA associations in the Acul communal section.
We are currently working with ATPF (Asosyasyon TIPA Peyizan Fyevil), an association of 60 members.
Young people in the Youth Protection from Gangs program have received loans. Internally displaced persons due to gangs have also benefited from donations and loans to create small businesses to support their families. $250 can be used to help a young person or mother start a small business.
